ROPE ACCESS LEVEL 2

The Level 2 SPRAT rope access training is an intermediate-level course designed to teach experienced students new skills with an enhanced emphasis on efficiency, speed, and productivity. Level 2 prepares workers to move into the role of lead technician. Trainees will be introduced to new rescues, hauling, and structural progression by aid climbing.

• Vertical Aid Climbing

• Knots and Hitches

• Cross-Haul

• Job Safety

• Rigging and Operating a Rope Access System Pre-rigged to Lower
 
SPRAT EVALUATION INFORMATION

The SPRAT written test will be administered the day before the practical skills evaluation unless otherwise stipulated on the 4th day of the course. The last day of each course is reserved for the SPRAT practical skills evaluation unless otherwise stipulated. There will be no additional practice time or course content presentation on this day. WHAT TO BRING TO OUR TRAINING:
  • A Government issued photo identification including your full name and date of birth.
  • Valid email address and mailing address.
  • Up-to-date SPRAT logbook with supervisor signatures and cumulative hour totals.
  • Comfortable footwear which has an enclosed toe area (i.e., no sandals etc.), we recommend sport shoes/trainers or walking shoes.
  • Loose and comfortable clothing which does not restrict movement such as shorts, tracksuit pants, t-shirts etc.
  • A good sense of humor and your best collection of bad jokes.
  • All of our training centers have a basic kitchen including refrigerators and microwaves so please feel free to bring any food or snacks you wish.
  • For those candidates either re-certifying or upgrading their SPRAT qualification you must bring your fully completed rope access logbook on the first day of training. If you have lost your logbook contact [email protected] for a replacement before the course begins. You cannot be trained or assessed without your current logbook.

Rope access and rope access training is not for everyone. Rope access training is serious and requires skill retention abilities and physical fitness. It also requires the completion of an evaluation, which is described in the SPRAT Certification Requirements for Rope Access Work. Course attendees will be required to sign a waiver of liability prior to starting the course.
